In terms of the real estate market, one month makes it challenging to forecast a year, but there are some very positive initial signs moving forward.
First, inventory levels are rising and that bodes well as 2018 saw fewer sales than the previous year, due in large part to limited inventory throughout the valley. As we enter February, inventory is up over 13% from this time in 2018. Additionally, residential properties under contract are up 3.5%. Since the recession we have been able to track a direct correlation of increased inventory to an increase in contracts. Having both this time of year is a very positive sign. Showing activity remains strong and of course the snow has been exceptional this season leading to a great start to 2019!

Burton US Open – Vail
The 2019 Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships returns to Vail Mountain bringing with them the best snowboarders in the world competing to win the most prestigious Halfpipe and Slopestyle titles in snowboarding. February 25 – March 2.
Spangled – Beaver Creek
Enjoy a festive and light hearted celebration of America during President’s Weekend with Beaver Creek Extraordinaire presents Spangled. Feb 15 -18.
Rocky Mountain Ski Fest – Vail
The Rocky Mountain Ski Fest is held in the mountains of Vail, Colorado. The event includes skiing with celebrities and a concert by Grammy Award Winning Songwriters and Nationally Acclaimed Headliners. Event benefits Vail Veterans Program. February 20-21.
Talons Challenge – Beaver Creek
Complete 14 black and double black diamond runs totaling over 26,000 vertical feet. Celebrate your accomplishment with the official après party at Talon’s restaurant, where you can enjoy complimentary food, drinks and take in the view of the incredible terrain you just conquered. This year, after the lifts close the party will extend into the Beaver Creek village with additional entertainment and giveaways. Feb 23.
Eagle – Porchlight Players: Catch Me if You Can
Pink Vail – Vail
Family friendly themed deck parties, all-day live music, kids tent, costume contest, prizes, Superstar events, great skiing and an incredible setting will once again bring thousands of fun-loving, pink participants together on Vail Mountain. 100% of Pink Vail donations and registration fees benefit all patients at Shaw Cancer Center through enhancements to patient care and patient programming. March 16, 2019.
Eagle – Family Fun Fair
The 14th annual Eagle Free Family Fun Fair indoors at the Eagle River Center for a day of fun activities for children ages 1 -13! Quad bungie-jumping, climbing wall, face painting and more! Feb 17.
