Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Just a couple of many holiday gifts this year are wonderful snow conditions to start the 2018/19 season and a nice increase in available residential inventory throughout the valley. Total listings are up 6.6% compared to a year ago at this time and those numbers should continue to increase throughout the month of December.
It is historically a quiet time in the market but with the increase in available homes for sale and strong buyer activity, it might be just the right time to find a new home if that is in your 2019 plans. Overall the market remains stable and while there are some changes throughout the country, here in the valley we have seen strong sales in all price points and areas and active buyers looking for just the right property.
For a complete view of the market or your specific area of interest, please be sure to sign-up for my monthly or quarterly Market Trend Reports. These are great tools to follow our market on a regular basis.
The festivities, events and activities during the holidays here in the valley are upon us and almost every day (and night) there are wonderful experiences to enjoy. In light of our events calendar that offers so much, I thought I would share with you a few free “to-dos” that should make it on everyone’s list during the season.
Starting in Eagle, join the town for Christmas on Broadway on December 1st and in Gypsum on December 8th for Home for the Holidays. Vail takes center stage with Vail Snow Days December 13 – 16 and ice skating in the center of Beaver Creek’s Village is always a special experience. Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday season!
