When Vail Mountain and all western ski areas closed in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was hard to see the path our valley would take in response. True to its roots, Eagle County, its locals and second homeowners rallied to support small businesses, restaurants and fellow residents – creating opportunities to survive our unusual times and in some cases, thrive.
As we come upon the end of this unique and historic year, we pause to say THANK YOU for entrusting us with your real estate goals and for your effort to help our community. The valley opened its doors this year to its neighbors and people from around the world who see it as a place of vibrancy, energy, safety and security. Many more individuals and families now call our area home and we are grateful to have been a part of the next chapter of so many lives.
Real estate has been a leader in the economic stability of the valley. It’s not just the sale and purchase of a home, but the myriad of economic impacts that sale creates to help support the community. Construction trades, professional service providers, retail stores, restaurants and more all experience a positive economic result when a property changes hands – especially when the new owner will live here longer or even become a full-time resident.
Gone (at least for now), are the quiet shoulder seasons, replaced by more activity, more people and a more vibrant year-round feel. It’s one result of a year unlike any other, but one we are thankful for here in the Vail Valley.
The Vail Valley real estate numbers, at their core, are historic with not only record-setting sales but continued, unwavering demand. The headlines garner attention, but the story is in the details.
Regardless of the year (and perhaps more important than ever), real estate is local, and I have the insight, knowledge and expertise to help with your specific needs, answer your important questions and advise you about your unique goals. There is great opportunity for those looking to buy or sell and I welcome the chance to visit.
