Sneak a peek at the Hansen family’s two-car garage and it’s easy see how they live big and play well. Full of toys and equipment, this space represents all things active for the Hansens, and they have plenty of ways to do just that in an area that feels just right for them.This family fell in love with this house the moment they saw it, and they’ve never looked back. Chad is the Head Golf Professional at Country Club Of The Rockies and Allison is a 4th grade teacher at Vail Christian Academy. The children (Jaxon and Wyatt) are twins, and best friends.
They’ve been crawling into each other’s cribs since they were born, and have continued their camaraderie through interests in sports like basketball, football, biking, baseball and golf. The family has two Golden Retrievers, and another sibling for the twins on the way!
The Hansens are longtime Gypsum locals, and the functional design and comfort of their current home meets them where they’re at. They weren’t in the market for a new house when they found this one, but once they saw it they new it was a home that would fill their hearts for years. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac on the Gypsum Creek Golf Course, the home boasts big windows that frame expansive views. In the winter, ski mountains aren’t a far drive, and right from their door the Hansens have direct access to trails for hiking and biking. With two basketball hoops in the driveway, the twins are often playing together outside or hanging out in the kitchen with games and laughter. The boys share a two bedroom space and a playroom above the garage — one twin has a “Bigfoot Room” and the other has a “Sports Room.” There seems to be no limit on the joy this family shares, and more sports toys and gym equipment are in the basement of the home, known in the family as the “man cave.”
The Hansens are a high energy unit, no doubt, and their connection creates a heartwarming and exciting energy for them and for all those who visit them. Playtime is a priority for the Hansens, and smiles are inevitable for anyone who is with this family at their home.
