The Peterson Family home purchase story is not unlike others who are proud to call Colorado home. They felt the call of the mountains and answered by finding a home in Eagle. Come along with us as we get to know the Peterson Family and find out what they love about their Eagle Ranch home.
Nate and Emily Peterson met in Aspen, got engaged on a beach on Kauai and married on a beach in Mexico. They then moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for Nate’s job at CBSSports.com. They expected to stay a year and wound up staying eight before making the trip back to Colorado to settle in the Vail Valley in 2018. Emily and the kids are new to the valley while it’s a return for Nate, who landed his first job out of college at the Vail Daily and is now the paper’s managing editor. The pull of the mountains was strong, though, and after having two kids, they wanted to relocate back to Colorado to raise Grace and Max. Here are some quick facts about the Peterson Family and their home purchase.

- Real Estate Broker’s Name? Crystal (CJ) and Matt Seatvet

When purchasing a home for their family the Petersons’ top concerns were price, value, and location. They definitely found all of these components in their Eagle Ranch home where they love the proximity to the elementary school, the number of families with kids, and activities for families. As a matter of fact, the first Eagle Ranch home they looked at is the one they call home now. Emily says, “Our home was the first home we looked at together in Eagle Ranch. We knew immediately it was the one!” Nate couldn’t believe his ears because as Nate says, “Emily is super indecisive and it’s very unusual for her to pick the first thing that comes her way.”
Some important features the Peterson Family enjoys the most about their home is the open floor plan of the main floor. “The natural light makes it feel cozy and bright,” Emily says. The kids love that they have a playroom in the basement and the best part is that they get to have their own rooms to make their own. The Petersons spend most of their time in the living room cuddling up next to the fire. Nate says, “We purposely didn’t put a TV in this room to encourage more family interaction.”
For the Peterson Family, it was the call of the mountains, the proximity to the elementary school, and activities for families that allowed them to “Find That Feeling” in their Eagle Ranch home.
